Wes Edens Progressive Career at the Fortress Investment Group

Wes Edens is 56 years old owner of Milwaukee Bucks basketball team and co-founder of the Fortress Investment Group, a midtown based private equity bank. He is currently serving as the co-chief executive officer at the Fortress. He attended Capital High School and Oregon State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Finance. In 2008, he was ranked number 962 on the Forbes billionaire list.

Before Wes Edens joined Fortress, he had previously served as the head of asset investors at BlackRock Financial Management Inc. He is also a former managing director and partner of Lehman Brothers. Wes Edens worked at the Newcastle Investment Holdings LLC between June 2002 and February 2017 as the chief executive officer. He recently announced, as the co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, that the Fortress Investment Group would launch FlyQuest, a new eSport franchise.
