It’s not every child actor who achieves the rare feat of having an acting career that continues on into adulthood, yet Crystal Hunt, the sunny blonde who once appeared in commercials and pageants as a young child, has pulled it off. This year Crystal has two feature films to her credit, including “Talbot County,” which she executive produced, and “Magic Mike XXL.”
In “Magic Mike XXL,” Crystal plays one of the eccentric beauties that star Channing Tatum and his band of male stripper buddies encounter as they travel on a cross country road trip. The role represents a breakthrough for Crystal, as her last feature film roles, in 2005 and 2007, came when she was a young actress starring on the soaps.
Crystal’s career started very early, as a two year old, when she appeared in her first pageant with a pageant talent of “acting.” From there, Crystal appeared in many television commercials, including the Disney “25th Anniversary” spot. Crystal moved from commercials into daytime television, where she really made her mark in the soap classic, “Guiding Light.” She appeared on the show as young Lizzie Spaulding from 2003 to 2006, and she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for her performance in the role.
She later appeared on ABC’s “One Life to Live” from 2009 to 2010, and then came back to appear on the show in key guest appearances.
Her early feature film roles include appearances in 2005’s “The Derby Stallion” and the 2007 Universal Pictures release, “Sydney White.” Now, with her busy return to features in 2015, the future looks bright for the entertainment career of Crystal Hunt.
