Stephen Bittel is a successful real estate developer and political activist based in Miami, Florida. He is the founder and chairman of Terranova Corporation, a leading commercial real estate firm that specializes in the development, leasing, and management of retail properties.

Bittel began his career in real estate in the early 1980s, working for his family’s real estate business. He founded Terranova in 1980, and the company has since grown to become one of the largest and most successful real estate firms in South Florida. Terranova’s portfolio includes more than 5 million square feet of retail space, and the company has been involved in the development of several prominent properties, including the Shops at Sunset Place in South Miami and the Lincoln Road Mall in Miami Beach.

In addition to his work in real estate, Bittel is also a prominent political activist and fundraiser. He has been a major donor to the Democratic Party and has served as the Florida finance chair for several Democratic presidential campaigns, including those of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. He was also a delegate to the 2008 and 2016 Democratic National Conventions.
