Doctor Or Entrepreneur? Dr. Mark McKenna Is Combing Both For An Innovative Take On Healthy Living

Dr. Mark McKenna has faced many setbacks over the course of his career, mostly due to unfortunate circumstances, but he his still come out on top as one of the most recognized doctors and businessmen in the country today. This is because Mark has a special talent for business, perfectly combining his knowledge of medicine to create unique and successful businesses. Some have asked Dr. Mark McKenna why he started out with medicine only to switch to business. According to Mark, he has interest in the medical field, especially since it is also his father’s profession, but it doesn’t allow for the level of success it did in the past.

Mark McKenna wanted more than what the medical field alone had to offer, but he did not make this decision until he was in medical school. Once he finally graduated, Mark worked at his father’s practice while he built up his funds until he could start up a company of his own. He finally got his start in 1999 with a real estate company, which managed to become one of the leading real estates in New Orleans by 2005. Katrina hit New Orleans this year, and Mark, unfortunately, lost his company. He managed to recoup by flipping properties in New Orleans for a while, before moving to Atlanta.

Dr. Mark McKenna is currently pushing the growth of his latest company, OVME. With locations in Nashville and Atlanta, OVME is quickly becoming one of the most popular aesthetic wellness business in the country. This is partly because there is not much competition in Mark’s particular market. OVME allows Mark’s clients to use an app to search a database of products and treatments that can then be ordered and delivered right to their hands wherever they are. Doctors stand at the ready to help customers through OVME’s app and offer their own products as freelancers. Dr. Mark McKenna hopes to expand OVME in more cities over the next few years.

JHSF Second Generation Legacy; José Auriemo Neto

JHSF Participações is a giant company in Brazil that deals with real estate development, shopping malls, gastronomy, hotels, and an international executive airport. The company was founded in 1972 with the name JHS in São Paulo. The company’s primary focus was construction and incorporation services. The founders were Fábio and José Roberto Auriemo, who are brothers, along with two other partners. Fabio took over the company’s operation after a split in 1990 and maintained the company’s focus on real estate.

In 2003, Fabio’s eldest son, José Auriemo Neto, took over the company. He was 27 years old. He had been responsible for developing Park Bem, which was the park’s division of the company, at age 17, and by the time he was 22, he was a director of the mall area. After his takeover, he intensified his role in the high income and luxury market.

JHSF operates not only in the Brazilian market but also in the USA and Uruguay. JHSF was the pioneer Brazilian real estate company to place priority on recurrent income assets such as the operation of an airport, shopping malls, hotels, and real estate projects. José Auriemo Neto is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JHSF Participações. He started working with JHSF in 1993 after graduating from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP) University in Sao Paulo. He now oversees the brand’s interests in hotels, office buildings, and public developments. He also regulates the company’s large retail and shopping portfolio. This portfolio includes Cidade Jardim, a prominent shopping complex in Säo Paulo, Bela Vista in Salvador, Metrô Tucuruv, and Ponta Negra shopping center in Manaus.

José Auriemo Neto organized the group’s maiden venture into the retail sector by signing agreements with Jimmy Choo, Hermes, and Pucci. He then opened these luxury brands’ first ever retail outlets in Cidade Jardim which is owned by JHSF. Another great partnership that was secured was that with Valentino. They launched Valentino and R.E.D. Valentino stores in Brazil.
