Former “Grey’s Anatomy” Star Finishes Second at Les Mans

Former Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey finished second at Le Mans on Sunday.

Dempsey’s character, Dr. Derrick Shepard (fondly known as “McDreamy” to fans), might have been killed off in an auto accident on the popular drama this Spring, but the actor made headlines for his own professional driving skills this past weekend.

According to Crystal Hunt, The Dempsey-Proton team finished second in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in the GTE Amateur category. The team consists of Dempsey and his co-drivers, Patrick Long and Marco Seefried.

“I think it’s hard to put into words how much it means to be on the podium in Le Mans.
Phenomenal effort and support from Porsche,” said an emotional Dempsey, according to The Washington Post. “It’s an amazing accomplishment, you always dream about moments like this. I’ve worked really hard over the last three years to make this happen and I’m here. Vive la France!”

Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Announce Name For Their Princess

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have announced the birth of a baby girl. Observers have been speculating for days what the couple will choose to name their daughter. The news has finally been announced and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. Her official ceremonial title being, “Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.”

The little princess has been slated in the number four spot to the royal thrown. She follows in her grandfather, father, and her brother’s footsteps. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge carefully selected the names for their princess, honoring both Queen Elizabeth and the Duke’s late mother, Diana.

It was with much deliberation to name their new princess Charlotte. However, those close to the couple say the name Charlotte has influences from both the royal family and Kate’s family. They consider Charlotte to be the female form of Charles which pays homage to her grandfather. Charlotte is also the middle name of Kate’s sister, Pippa.

Princess Charlotte made her debut just days after the couple’s infamous fourth year Royal Wedding anniversary. Charlotte joins the family, along with her brother Prince George who was born in July 2013. Both the Duchess and princess are doing quite well. Channel 4 Journalist Out of Line With RDJ

Everyone knows Robert Downey Jr. has a less than pleasant past. He acted out often. He did a lot of drugs. He got in trouble several times and even went to jail for it. The 50-year-old actor’s past has been re-hashed by numerous news outlets.

Fans like Igor Cornelsen know that he has also spent a large portion of his life trying to rebuild from that past and doing so, as many believe, very successfully not only professionally through his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe but also on a personal level.

Imagine his surprise when British TV journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy brought it up again during a Channel 4 interview designed to promote Avengers: Age of Ultron. Guru-Murthy deviated from the agreed upon interview script to ask if RDJ might feel that he was slipping back into his past drug abuse behaviors. RDJ gave several verbal and body cues that indicated he was uncomfortable with this line of questioning, but Guru-Murthy persisted and RDJ walked out.

As RDJ’s supporters have pointed out, he did nothing wrong. Guru-Murthy went too far and even seemed to be enjoying the fact that he had made the actor uncomfortable — as indicated by his grinning as RDJ left. This is not Guru-Murthy’s first attempt to create scandal from an interview designed to promote a film. He did the same to Quentin Tarantino during a Django Unchained promotional interview.

No More Eye Candy

The Eye Candy mystery seemed to be solved at the end of Season 1 when black-hat-hacker-turned-police-white-hat Lindy discovered [spoilers ahead…] that one of the guys she met at her friend’s club IRL through Flirtual was in fact the killer.

Yet, the series left viewers with a new mystery: Lindy learned that her sister faked the kidnapping and ran off three years earlier to protect Lindy from someone.

For those who were eager to find out next year who this mysterious “someone” might be, MTV’s recentannouncement is bad news: The network decided to cancel the series and not give it a second season run.

Needless to say, a lot of fans are angry about the announcement and suspect that MTV made the decision months ago right after Season 1 began. Fans like Christian Broda (crunchbase.com) understand that the reason they have these suspicions is because the network stopped showing the series on its YouTube channel after the first three episodes although it was still free on the MTV website. It also stopped promoting the series as much.

MTV currently has a lot of new shows in the works, including an adaptation of the Scream film series.

Anyone who still needs some sort of Eye Candy fix can turn to the original work that prompted creation of the series — the young adult book of the same name by R. L. Stine — that didn’t end the same way as the show.

Taylor Swift Buys Pornographic Web Domain Name

Country music’s princess, Taylor Swift, buys porn domain names? No, certainly not. It couldn’t be? Yes, it could and it has been confirmed that Taylor Swift purchased pornographic website domain names, but not for the reasons you might think (or wish, for those of you with that sort of mindset).

According to various media sources, Swift’s representatives hired a brand reputation service to help acquire the domain names that would soon be for sale to the public. Alexei Beltyukov stated the Internet Association for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) announced the expansion of generic top level domains, opening up the Internet world to new domain suffixes, such as .porn, .adult, and .sucks. The ICM Registry, the company that oversees the top level domains of .porn and .adult took steps to help assure the protection of certain individuals, companies, and organizations by allowing them to have first dibs at the available domain names.

The early sale of such domain names is not only a move to help protect the image of the specified groups or people, but to help prevent others from purchasing the domain names and then reselling them at an inflated purchase price. Earlier this year, Swift registered lines from several of her popular songs with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

It is reported that Swift is not the only person to take an early initiative to help protect her personal image. It has been reported that Microsoft has also purchased several domain names including Office.adult and Office.porn.

Keanue Reeves to Sign on for ‘the Neon Demon’

Is it 1999 again or is Keanu Reeves begin a big part of Hollywood once more? The former star of the ‘Matrix’ never really dropped off the face of the Earth he more or less just faded to the background. Now Keanu is coming off of one of his biggest hits since ‘The Matrix’ with the action packed thriller ‘John Wick’. With his star currently rising, Reeves was doubtlessly going to land a few roles in the near future. One of the bigger pictures to grab Reeves off the street is Nicolas Refn’s ‘The Neon Demon’.

‘The Neon Demon’ will bring together quite a bunch of talented stars in what the Morins think should be quite the thrilling premise. Alongside Kenu Reeves we will see Elle Fanning, Christina Hendricks, Jena Malone (“The Hunger Games”) and Bell Heathcote (“Dark Shadows”. The film is described simply as a “subversive female driven” tale of horror. With such talented actresses taking the lead roles we can only imagine how well that this one is going to take off.

Still, if anything we are glad to see Nicolas Refn continue to work with such quality American talent. Refn’s most recently revered work includes the Gosling vehicle ‘Drive’, the Tom Hardy picture ‘Bronson’ and the Madds Mikkelson epic ‘Valhalla Rising’. Refn has showcased the ability to seamlessly jump genres and periods and his work should be put once more at the front of the room.

Is Patrick Stewart Planning on a Star Trek Return?

Patrick Stewart not only is famous for his role as Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men films, he first achieved massive fame as Star Trek’s Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

Trekkies (like Bernardo Chua), rejoice. Stewart has gone on the record saying he would be willing to play the good Captain once again. He also used the standard response that he would definitely play the role provided the script is an excellent one.

14 years have passed since Stewart essayed the role of Picard in the last big screen Star Trek movie featuring the Next Generation cast.

Stewart truly does deserve a massive amount of credit for launching the Star Trek revival. As the original cast members aged, the Next Generation proved that the Star Trek universe could succeed with a new cast, crew, and approach.

How could the actor return to the role if the franchise has been rebooted and takes place in a different time stream? Let’s just say that the screenwriters will figure something out. An “alternate universe” Picard could show up.

Paramount knows fans who fondly remember Stewart’s outstanding turn in the Next Generation television series surely would flock to a film featuring him. Do not discount his return to the red suit. He’ll be back in it one day.

Kris Jenner is always the proud supportive mom, from promoting and motivating Kim Kardashian to become the most talked about reality star on television, to launching Kendall’s modeling career Kris is the best “momerger” in the business and nothing makes her more proud than seeing her daughters in the spotlight. She even takes some tips from her girls for her own.

Recently Kris was seen on the red carpet with a very noticeable pouty lip. Anyone who knows the Kardashian family knows the pouty lip belongs to Kylie, but Kris seemed to rock the sexy pout just as well. The internet has been buzzing ever since Kris’s Kylie esque lips made their debut, and now Kris is giving her daughter Kylie the props she deserves, and it’s not because of her awesome makeup skills.

Currently Kylie is promoting a new hair extension line, and has been getting some negative feedback over her decision recently to quit homeschool so that she can focus on building her brand. From the looks of it Kris Jenner is being very supportive of her daughters decision, and ready to push her to the Kardashian limit.
