Actress and Comedian Anne Meara Passed Away

Sam Tabar expressed on Twitter that it was a sad day in the entertainment world as actress and comedian Anne Meara has passed away at the age of 85. She is the mother of actor Ben Stiller and wife of actor and comedian Jerry Stiller, whom she was married to for the past 61 years.

According to an article found on reddit and written by Examiner.com, the family is the one who made the announcement of her passing but they have not said anything as to why she died. It is probably a very hard time for the Stillers and other extended family, as Meara has also been in several acting roles herself. She was on All in the Family for a few seasons and also made a few guest appearances on shows like Sex in the show Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. This is a very sad day for all of the fans of the comedy world too, as the Stiller family is one of the very few all-member family who have roles as comedians and actors. They are all very talented people and Meara leaves behind a son, Ben Stiller and a daughter, Amy Stiller. In addition to that she also has many grandchildren who will be missing out on a great grandmother. I feel really bad for Jerry especially, because he has been with this woman for the majority of his life and this must be hard.
