It is launching the Level Up U program to educate game developers with a portion of its $250 million diversity fund to better compete in the future of gaming.
The program aims to train non-industry and experienced industry professionals to become talented game developers.
Activision Blizzard CEO Reelected; Stock Outperforms Market
The shares increased 0.38% to $78.87 on July 5, 2022. Activision gained for the second day in a row, outperforming some of its competitors, including Sony, which fell 1.11%.
This increase came less than two weeks after Activision Blizzard shareholders overwhelmingly voted to re-elect CEO Bobby Kotick.
On June 21, shareholders re-elected ten directors, including Kotick, to the board at the annual stockholders’ meeting.
Furthermore, 91% agreed to extend the current board’s term until the next meeting in 2023, while 95% opposed adding an employee representative to the board.
Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty Named One of 2022’s Best Mobile Games
Activision, owned by Bobby Kotick, In October 2019, Blizzard released Call of Duty: Mobile, a free-to-play shooter game. It was downloaded over 270 million times in its first year, making it one of the most successful game launches in history.
According to Pocket Tactics players, it is arguably the most comprehensive package that distinguishes Call of Duty: Mobile from other first-person online shooter games.
It combines a fast-paced multiplayer shooter with a more prominent Battle Royale mode. It also looks and moves beautifully, with excellent controller support and many methods to try.
Activision Blizzard’s Diablo Immortal generates $24 million in consumer spending in two weeks.
It is on a roll with its new mobile game Diablo Immortal, released on June 2nd. The mobile game has been downloaded over 10 million times since then.
In the first 14 days after its release, the game generated $24 million in consumer spending. Apple customers contributed $13 million, while Android users contributed $11 million.
